We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter for our client, based in Aberdeen for a temporary assignment.

The working hours will be -

• Monday 20th July - Thursday 23rd July, 7.30 am - 3 pm (7 hours per day, 30 min unpaid lunchbreak, lunch provided)
• Monday 27th July - Thursday 30th July, 7.30 am - 3 pm (7 hours per day, 30 min unpaid lunchbreak, lunch provided)

This is based in Kingswells.

Candidates must be available to start on Monday next week and ideally will have previous kitchen porter experience.

Hourly rate is £12.71 per hour, and weekly pay.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team for an office environment. This role is essential in keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and running efficiently. The successful candidate will support the chefs by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, ensuring kitchen equipment is washed and stored correctly, and assisting with general kitchen duties.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining excellent hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment efficiently.
  • Ensure all kitchen and food preparation areas are kept clean and sanitised.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment safely and effectively.
  • Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company procedures.
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors throughout the shift.
  • Clean work surfaces, storage areas, refrigerators and other kitchen equipment.
  • Receive and safely store deliveries when required.
  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks as requested.
  • Replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
  • Support the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
